Unplugged Adventures
Wander & Wonder is an all-weather outdoor program that allows children to discover themselves and the world around them, while developing a strong connection to nature away from screens.
The Rhythm of the Forest
Each session is a blend of free exploration and guided activities, all rooted in the rhythms of the forest. Children build dens, follow animal tracks, climb, create with natural materials, tell stories, play team games, and learn practical skills like knot-tying or fire safety (age-appropriate). Through it all, they develop resilience, confidence, and curiosity — while absorbing English naturally through conversation, songs, and playful challenges. No pressure, no performance — just real learning through real experiences.
Seasoned Guides
Grounded, compassionate, and playful, our guides know when to step in, when to step back, and how to turn every moment into a learning opportunity. With backgrounds in outdoor education, child development, and bilingual environments, our guides are trained to create a space where children feel safe, challenged and inspired.
Our Programs
Dis-connect to Re-connect
Wander & Wonder is an all-weather outdoor program that allows children to discover themselves and the world around them, while developing a strong connection to nature away from screens. Screen dependency can dull a child’s creativity, focus, and emotional balance — our program offers a screen-free sanctuary where imagination, movement, and real-world connection come alive.
English Immersion
Our multi-cultural environment allows children to naturally absorb the language while playing, exploring, and connecting — no worksheets, just real-life communication. All of our leaders are native-speakers and used to work with children from diverse cultrues and backgrounds.
Small Groups, Big Connections
We cap our group size at 10. This close-knit setting nurtures trust, emotional safety, and individual attention. Every child is seen, heard, and supported.
FAQs
We welcome children ages 5 to 12. Our mixed-age format encourages mentorship, collaboration, and empathy—older children become natural guides while younger ones gain confidence through shared exploration.
Not at all. Our program is bilingual (English/French), and language is acquired naturally through play, song, storytelling, and guided interaction. Many children begin with little or no English and thrive in this immersive, supportive environment.
We go out rain or shine. Nature is not just a backdrop—it’s the teacher. That said, we always prioritize safety and comfort. In cases of severe weather (e.g., high winds or storms), we’ll work indoor on nature projects.
We cap our groups at 12–15 children, depending on the age mix, with a low adult-to-child ratio to ensure connection, safety, and individualized attention.
We meet at the Domaine National de Saint Germain en Laye. Our spaces include forest paths, open meadows, shaded groves, and seasonal hideaways we revisit as the year unfolds.
Comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, waterproof boots, a reusable water bottle, and a hearty snack. We provide all materials for crafts and forest activities. A detailed seasonal gear list will be sent after enrollment.
Yes! You can book a drop-in day (subject to availability) to see if the rhythm suits your child. If you decide to enroll the fee will be deducted from your tuition.
Wander & Wonder is inspired by forest schooling, wholistic education, and the belief that nature regulates the nervous system and nurtures the whole child. Our approach fosters curiosity, confidence, emotional intelligence, and belonging—not just academic achievement. Our learning guides are partners in the discovery not depositary of the truth.
Wander & Wonder is not just an activity—it’s an intentional reset. Many of our families choose this program because their children need a counterbalance to highly structured, overstimulating environments. Even one afternoon a week in nature can make a profound difference in emotional wellbeing, creativity, and focus.
